Obtaining an EPA ID Number

To apply for a temporary California identification number please call the Department of Toxic Substance Controls at 1-800-618-6942.

To apply for, reactivate, or inactivate a permanent California identification number, please download the following form and submit it to the Department of Toxic Substance Controls. This process usually takes 6-8 weeks to complete.
